Human resource management (HRM) is widely recognized as one of the key determinants of success in construction projects, contributing significantly to productivity, coordination, and the overall performance of project teams. With the rapid advancement of digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), new opportunities have emerged to optimize managerial workflows and decision making processes. This study aims to assess the impact of AI driven processes on the efficiency of HRM within construction projects. The statistical population consisted of 175 managers, technical staff, and employees involved in mass housing projects on Kish Island. Using Cochran’s formula, a sample of 120 participants was selected. Data were collected through two standardized questionnaires measuring AI processes and HRM efficiency, with Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.7088 and 0.7283, respectively, confirming acceptable reliability. The data were analyzed using statistical software and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed that AI processes have a positive and significant effect on HRM efficiency, explaining 78 percent of the variance. Among the dimensions examined, AI infrastructure (37 %) and AI based decision making (32 %) demonstrated the strongest influence on HRM efficiency. In contrast, other dimensions including AI-managemenet, AI related skills and willingness to use AI did not reach statistical significance. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening technological infrastructure and promoting data driven decision making to enhance HRM effectiveness in construction projects and support more informed, timely, and efficient managerial actions.
