This study compares the analysis and modeling of existing steel pipe racks under various loading conditions using the European and Iranian Codes. The main goal is to evaluate the accuracy of results from these codes and their applicability to Iran's seismic conditions. Several steel pipe racks were modeled and analyzed under different loading scenarios. The results show that the Iranian Code, designed for Iran's seismic characteristics and based on American standards, provides more accurate analysis of structural behavior under seismic loads. This code uses more complex models to simulate behavior under earthquakes, offering better predictions and more conservative results. In contrast, the European Code, designed for low seismic risk areas, performed less effectively for Iran’s seismic conditions. This discrepancy arises from the European Code's misalignment with Iran's seismic and geographic conditions, reducing accuracy in analysis and modeling. Additionally, site analysis and seismic hazard assessments for different regions of Iran were conducted, emphasizing the importance of considering local seismic and geological conditions in design. The study underscores the need for locally tailored codes and can improve the design and analysis of structures in seismic regions, especially in Iran. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
