One of the common structural systems is steel moment frames, which are affected by various factors in the formability of these frames. Examining the performance of the connection spring and the ductility and energy absorption in the beam-to-column connection is one of the important issues in connection design. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hardening on the beam-to-column connection behavior. Abaqus finite element software is used for modeling. Cyclic load is used for loading. The thickness of the hardener is 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 cm. In addition, the models have been compared in two cases of steel columns filled with concrete and without concrete. One of the innovations of the research is the proposal of a connection with a new method and the addition of a stiffener at the joint of the beam and the column. The results show that increasing the thickness of the stiffener up to about 15% increases the anchor capacity, with an increase in capacity from 4% in the thickness of 1.2 cm to 15% in the thickness of 1.6 cm. However, in some models, no significant difference was observed between thicknesses of 1.4 and 1.6 cm, indicating that once the optimum thickness is reached, further increases may not have much effect and only increase costs. Also, the models with holes, especially the model with two rows of oval holes, performed better than the models without holes. In the columns filled with concrete, about 11 to 25% more moment was tolerated than the columns without concrete, which emphasizes the positive effect of concrete on increasing the moment capacity. In general, the results of this research show that the effective use of hardeners and concrete in structures Steel moment has good functional and economic effects.
